Writing has always been my thing. I’m the one who can take a messy draft, a half-formed program idea, or basic resume and turn it into something clear, confident, and review ready-without losing the heart of the work.
Before founding Polished Pen, I spent 14 years in county government, and more recently working with nonprofits and small businesses helping them navigate complex systems, government contracts, and capacity-building resources. That experience gave me a unique lens: I understand what funders and institutions look for and I understand what it feels like on the nonprofit side when you’re doing real work with limited time , resources and bandwidth.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me deep in a wellness routine or planning my next trip somewhere warm with a beach. I’m also deeply involved in breast cancer advocacy and share my story as a survivor through speaking and conversations that encourage women to prioritize their health, healing, and purpose.
